Welcome to Meteorology
Welcome in. This class is about learning to read the sky, the map, and the data the way a forecaster does — understanding why the atmosphere does what it does, from a calm afternoon to a supercell on radar.
We move through six units across the semester — the atmosphere itself, heat and wind, moisture and clouds, precipitation and fronts, severe weather, and forecasting — and you'll keep a running weather log the whole semester so the class stays connected to the real sky outside your window.
You don't need any equipment or a math background coming in. Show up, watch the sky, and ask questions — that's the whole deal.
